When Stress Becomes the Background
Most of us don't notice the volume until we step away from it.
Most of us learn to push through. We answer one more message, finish one more task, brace for one more conversation. The body keeps a quieter record than the calendar does.
This is a short pause, not a fix. Read slowly. Notice where you're holding tension. You don't have to do anything about it yet — just notice.
When you're ready, place a hand somewhere warm on your body. Take three slow breaths. Then ask: what's one thing I've been carrying that I could set down, just for tonight?
Nothing has to be resolved. Nothing has to be named out loud. The relief is in the noticing.
